What the free credits get you
20 credits, once, valid 90 days — enough to take a 4-panel strip from idea to export.
Every new account gets 20 credits when it is created. They are valid for 90 days and they are granted once — this is not a monthly free allowance.
At 2 credits per rendered image, 20 credits is 10 renders. A realistic first project:

That is a complete comic — cast, pages, cover — with room to redraw a few panels you are not happy with. Exporting and publishing cost nothing.
